I know reading blogs about makeup can sometimes be like porn for makeover-starved women. I know it sometimes is for me. An elegantly described, romantically written post about a $43 blush recently sent me flocking to the makeup counter. But for most of us, buying an entire wardrobe of $43 blushes isn't quite practical at the moment. So until it is, check out this gateway palette. It's a palette that can inspire you to do more with your makeup, help you change your daily look and create the hottest looks off of the runway. So let's take a look at this e.l.f Studio 27 Piece Mini Makeup Collection! It comes in a black square case with a large mirror. The first section, what I'll call the daytime section of the palette, contains a cream highlighter and six shadows.

  

(Shadows, starting with the cream highlighter)

The highlighter is the same color as my old favorite Beam, by Prescriptives. It's a shiny, nude glow that is wearable without being ridiculous. You can wear this on your brow bone, the inner corner of your eye or on your cheekbone. With the shadows, you'll get a golden nude and brown combo, an olive and lighter olive combo and a light sable and medium dark brown combo, which can also be used as liners. Mix and match them for an endless number of looks!

On the opposite side is the lip palette. This includes a clear gloss with sparkles, a light peach, a light coral, a medium nude, a frosty peachy-nude, a medium dark berry and a brighter berry shade. These are best applied with a lip brush but in a pinch, your finger will do the trick!

(Liner, black, medium silver and light silver shadows.)

The middle layer is the evening section of the palette and contains light and medium gray shadows with an inky black liner.

(Red lip colors)

The lip section includes a light red, a bright red and a deep red. It's everything you need for a classic evening look.

(Blush and Highlighter)

But there is still another layer in this compact little case! Finally, the bottom includes an Orgasm-like peach blush and a great contour/bronzer shade. Be sure to use a light touch or fan brush with the bronzer. A little goes a long way! You'll also get a black liner, three makeup brushes and a universal medium taupe brow color. What else could you need?
