One issue I've had since going straight was that my hair could no longer go several days without washing, even with a dry shampoo. And that's beat. It's beat because the more you wash, even with sulfate-free products, the more concerned I am about fading my color and lessening the Thermafuse treatment. I really like not having to wash so often, but since I've had thinner, straighter hair, that hasn't been an option for me.
Instead of prolonging my style to three or four days, dry shampoos were only helping me get through the second day. See? Beat. However, after I actually read the directions (something I almost never do), I realized that Unite's 7 Seconds Dry Shampoo was a different kind of dry shampoo.
First of all, it's not white, so you can't make a mess with it. It comes out basically clear. Then, if you follow the directions, instead of just applying to the roots and jzuzshing your hair, you'll actually apply this from the roots to the tips, jzuzshing your hair as you go. You can't really do this with many other dry shampoos because of all of the residue. I'm finding that when I apply 7 Seconds Dry according to the directions, I am actually getting 3 and sometimes 4 days out of a single style. No kidding. This may be a new favorite! And here is a tip you can't resist. If your hair tends to get oily overnight (whose doesn't?), apply dry shampoo before you go to bed. It will help absorb the oils overnight and you'll wake up with lovely hair that is (closer to being) ready to go!
