One of the more recent products I've discovered that is totally worth your time is Naturopathica's Cherry Brightening Enzyme Peel. This mask smells like fresh cherry puree (again, don't eat it!), and contains more good-for-your-skin ingredients that will only lead to brighter skin!
It was formulated to help mature or sun-damaged skin look refreshed and brighter. According to the company, here are the key ingredients:
SWEET CHERRY PUREE: helps to prevent skin discoloration and refine mature skin.
LACTIC ACID: known benefits of this AHA include exfoliation, moisturization, reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin firming and brightening.
WINE EXTRACT: a concentrated preparation of polyphenols and other bioactive compounds derived from the red Cabernet-Sauvignon variety of grapes grown in France. Polyphenols are a class of powerful antioxidant compounds that fight free radicals to help detoxify, purify, soothe and brighten skin.
SALICYLIC ACID: a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) which has keratolytic, anti-acne and fungicidal properties. Salicylic acid peels are particularly useful for patients with oily skin and open comedones.
This mask is gentle enough to use a few times per week, leaving your skin smooth, refreshed and, over time, brighter. It also doesn't contain any ingredients that are listed on the latest watch lists; there are no sulfate detergents, PEGs, DEA, TEA, parabens, glycols or urea. And just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I love how it smells and I adore how it works! Pick it up from Naturopathica for $56. In the Baltimore area? Pick it up from About Faces!
